Panatex Land solely represents property on the West side of the Azuero Peninsula from Mariato to Arenas. This area is the only developed region in Panama where tourists and homeowners can be enchanted by a direct westerly view of the sun dipping into the Pacific Ocean each evening.
Known as the ‘Gold Coast’, this 40 mile stretch of coastline – bordered by thick mangrove estuaries to the North of Mariato and the Cerro Hoya National Park on the south end is similar as driving down the Pacific Coast Highway in central California. A newly paved asphalt road winds its way through peaks and valleys while continually providing a spectacular view of the ocean.
Several surf breaks provide waves in all sizes for beginners or advanced surfers. The ‘Gringo Reef’ near Punta Naranja provides world-class snorkeling and diving opportunities. Several charter fishing captains provide state of the art yachts for rod and reel fishing of Wahoo, Sierra, Tuna, and Redfish or traditional skin-dive hunting of lobsters.
Santiago, the largest and closest city, is only one hour’s drive from Panatex properties. Santiago has the major conveniences of any large town including two large supermarkets, general/hardware stores, auto dealers and repair shops and a movie theatre. Doubling in size in the last five years, Santiago is a recognized banking center and the headquarters for legal and medical industries. The proximity to Santiago offers extranjeros modern conveniences, as well as access to major hospitals and legal representation for a variety of issues including visas to land purchase contracts. Santiago has government representation through a Provincial Seat for the State of Veraguas.
